POPULAR ROCK BANDS
Today, hyperactive music enthusiasts enjoy rock
and mental music. Rock music has been primarily
popular with the teenage audience. Mainly
because rock stars concentrates more on
interacting with its audience. And in a way
audience feels important. For the survival of
rock artist or band its interaction with
audience is very crucial.
Beatles: They are the best and most
important band ever, in the history of rock
history. In the tumultuous 60’s three lads from
Liverpool – John Lennon, Paul McCartney and
George came together and created this band.
Their music was highly artistic, cultural and
spiritual.
Rolling stones:
When the era of the Beatles came to an end in
1970, Rolling Stones came into the frame.
Without any dispute, they were given the title
of “World’s Greatest
Rock ‘n’ Roll Band”. For more than 30 years
stones have been the greatest rock band in the
world. Moreover, they have been functioning rock
‘n’ roll unit for more than 40.
U2: It is indisputably one of the most
popular bands and influential band of the post
punk era. Its achievements have been
extraordinary since the late 70s and they have
achieved consistent commercial and critical
acclaim. They have been successful in sending
difficult social messages with original sounds
and honest lyrics.
Pink Floyd: It is truly a unique and
premier space rock band. The band is a British
Progressive band known for its philosophical
lyrics, classical rock compositions, sonic
experimentation and elaborate live shows. It is
amongst one of the most successful rock band.
Linkin Park: The band was originated in
1996 when rapper guitarist Brad Delson and Mike
Shinoda started a band called Xero. Traditional
Classic Rock, Old-school hip hop and spooling
electronic vibes were the real reasons behind
the formation of the alternative metal quintet,
Linkin Park. The members of band includes
drummer Rob Bourdon, guitarist brad Delson, and
MC/vocalist Mike Shinoda and formed a tight
friendship from school days.
Eagles: This rock band from California
was created by guitarist Glenn Frey, drummer Don
Henley, guitarist Bernie Leadon, and bassist
Randy Meisner in 1970s. Eagles were the most
successful recording artists of the 70s and
their first album was the immediate success.
Later on guitarist Leadon left the band as his
replacement, another guitarist, Joe Walsh was
selected. As a result band got more popularity
especially in Europe.
Metallica: This heavy metal, American
rock band was formed in 1981. It was the 7th
biggest selling act in the American history.
Lars Ulrich (drummer) and James Hetfield (guitar
player/singer) were the originators of the band.
Guns N’Roses: This American hard rock
band got success and fame during the late 1980s
and early 1990s. Their music had the expression
of punk, blues and other genres of music into
the popular heavy metal music of that time. The
orignators of the band were singer Axl Rose,
guitarists Tracii Guns and Izzy Stradlin,
bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Rob Gardner.
“Appetite for Destruction” was one of their best
albums.
